Progressive Web Application (PWA)

The customer.

The MRC of D'Autray and the MRCs in the northern Lanaudière region (Joliette, Matawinie, Montcalm) act as agents of consultation, coordination, and promotion to improve the quality of life and services offered to their residents. Their main mandate is to bring together the various municipalities in their territory within the same structure and to promote collaboration among them.

The issue.

Having the responsibility of managing public transportation, the MRC of D'Autray and those in the northern Lanaudière region offer the Taxibus transportation service throughout all their municipalities. This service is provided by taxi vehicles and is currently only available on call. When residents make a request, it is transferred by administrators to their internal software. Payment is made at the time of transportation and only cash is accepted. Therefore, the entire process is done manually, and communication between stakeholders is challenging.

Request transportation.

The platform for residents is used to make their transport request. Very easy to use, the resident must fill out the online form by indicating the information about their trip such as the departure time, the destination, etc. Regarding payment, the resident can directly pay using their credit balance on the platform or pay the carrier on the scheduled day.

Online payment.

In order to simplify transportation payments, the platform supports online payment when booking a transport. Payment is made using a credit balance. The resident must first enter their credit card information into the platform to add credits to their balance. Once this is done, when making a reservation, the resident only needs to select the card of their choice to make the payment.

Management of roadmaps.

All carriers can log in to the platform to consult their route sheet for the day and those for the days to come. These route sheets provide the necessary information regarding residents' requests, including the pick-up and drop-off locations. They can also export the data to an Excel spreadsheet or even print it if they wish.

Management of clients and transportation.

Several relevant pieces of information are available in the administrator portal. Regarding the residents, a list is available to know the service users. Administrators can also check the past or upcoming transports of the residents as well as related information such as payment status. Furthermore, to facilitate carrier management, administrators have access to their information and can add more as needed.

Service settings.

Several parameters are accessible from the application for consultation purposes or to modify the information present. For example, service hours are subject to change depending on availability and holidays, so administrators can modify service hours and also reservation deadlines via the application. Additionally, the service offers adapted transportation and administrators can modify the adapted transport devices at any time.

Synchronization with internal software.

The 4 MRCs use the software Parcours, provided by UTACQ, to allocate transport requests. We have therefore integrated our existing software with theirs and the application we have developed. Once residents make their request through the application, it is transmitted to Parcours to be allocated by an agent. To confirm a resident's transport, a confirmation email is sent.

The results.

Simplification of requests
Data centralization
More efficient request management
"We have entrusted various mandates to Recursyve and from the start we have appreciated their ability to grasp important issues. The team is very concerned about delivering a reliable product that meets our expectations. We are already considering further collaborations with Recursyve." (translated)
