Entrepreneurial by nature, the Matawinie Regional County Municipality is located north of the Lanaudière region and includes 15 municipalities. A true natural gem, Matawinie will charm you with its breathtaking landscapes, preserved beauty, and vast territory offering a variety of outdoor activities for all tastes, all just a few minutes away from major urban centers.

The issue.

In order to support local businesses during this period of recovery, the MRC is providing financial assistance through a gift card program that enhances the amounts invested by consumers. To implement such a program, the MRC needed a platform that allows the issuance of gift cards and the management of transactions on them by merchants. That's why the MRC turned to Recursyve.

The solution.

We have developed a custom application that precisely meets the needs of the MRC, allowing them to launch their program quickly and smoothly.

Gift card generation.

Following the purchase of a gift card on the MRC's transactional website, a gift card is created in the system and sent to the citizen by email. The gift card has a barcode that corresponds to a unique identifier.

Transaction management.

When a customer presents themselves at a merchant with their gift card, the merchant connects to the platform to validate the card and proceed with the transaction. The merchant can also view or export a report of the transactions made in Excel or PDF format.

Administrator management.

In order to properly manage the program, the platform offers several features for the administrator; they can grant access to merchants, export a global transaction report, and modify the balance of a gift card.
